"Somewhere between 3:50 and 4:10, the movie stopped mattering..."
To My Beloved Bindu π
"In that dark theater, with the whole world watching the screen, I was only watching you β and then you leaned in."
On September 12th, sitting beside you in the movie theater, I honestly cannot tell you what was playing on the screen. Somewhere around 3:50, you leaned over and gave me a soft little kiss on my cheek β and my heart completely stopped.
That one gentle kiss gave me all the courage I needed. I turned to you, and I kissed you on your lips for the very first time. It was soft, it was nervous, it was perfect β and it was you.
And then, the moment I will replay in my mind for the rest of my life β you grabbed my shirt, pulled me close, and kissed me back on my lips. In that instant, I knew you felt exactly what I felt. Every doubt vanished, and only us remained.
βThose twenty minutes were not just our first kiss. They were the beginning of every kiss to come β every good morning, every goodnight, every βI missed you,β and every βIβm hereβ for the rest of our lives.β
Thank you for leaning in first, for trusting me with your heart, and for pulling me closer when I was already yours. I will cherish that afternoon, and you, for as long as I live. π
